In October 2026, Kyōto YouMe Triennale opens at Shōseien Garden: an international exhibition where art, design and craft meet. Curators, makers and buyers arrive from London, Doha, Milan, New Delhi, Kabul and Kyoto to ask again what making means.

But international exchange doesn’t happen on stage. It happens at the reception desk, in front of an object when the right word won’t come, on the walk to a workshop. Encounters are made by people. We’re looking for the people who will make them.

We don’t call our workshop programme a “guided tour.” We call it a Dialogue. Your role is not to explain, but to stand in between — and let something travel both ways. Your English (or Japanese) doesn’t need to be perfect. Willingness does.
